About Us

Mystical Roots Coffee was created from a place of connection—connection to culture, to community, and to the traditions that continue to guide us. My tribe is the Pechanga Band of Indians, and my roots are Luiseño and Juaneño, which continue to shape who I am and how I approach this work.
Since the passing of my father, I’ve found myself reconnecting after a time of being less involved, when I was living in the city for a few years. It made me realize how much I had been missing the things I grew up with—learning, creating, and being present within the community. From making jewelry and skirts to taking language classes, I’ve been doing my best to stay connected to the traditions and the people that raised me.
Coffee and tea have also become a meaningful part of that path. I grew fond of coffee years ago when I got my first true espresso machine and had to learn how to hand-tune every part of the process. That experience taught me patience, attention to detail, and a deeper respect for what goes into a truly good cup. I became very intentional about where I sourced my coffee, often avoiding grocery store options and instead seeking out places that roasted exceptional beans.
At the same time, I’ve always been an avid tea drinker, and I found it surprisingly difficult to find truly high-quality tea locally here in Temecula. That challenge became part of the inspiration behind Mystical Roots—creating a space where both coffee and tea are chosen with care and purpose.
Our coffee is roasted locally here in Temecula, on Luiseño land, keeping our work connected to the place we call home. Every step—from sourcing to roasting to preparation—is done with intention, respect, and care.
As I continue forward, my goal is not only to grow this brand, but to grow closer to my community—becoming more present, more involved, and more connected in the ways that matter. Mystical Roots is more than coffee and tea. It’s a reflection of where I come from, and a way of carrying that forward.
